I have been fascinated by the unusual all my life. One of my very first written works was a school assignment exploring the validity of ESP and paranormal phenomena. Though I was very young at the time, I immediately found myself fascinated by performers like Yuri Gellar and David Copperfield, and these days I'm absolutely blown away by people like Derren Brown. Even today, I want to believe that abilities exist which have no valid scientific explanation. I have been reading Stephen King novels for as long as I can remember, and I'm a sucker for tv shows like "The X Files" and "LOST". One of these days, I'll tell all the stories that have been floating around in my head while I've been busy trying to live life.

More Harm Than Good?

  • September 29, 2007May 6, 2019

I’m going to start this post by saying I love my home, my planet, and I am not out to intentionally destroy the thing. That would be stupid. But equally stupid is this rush to…

Dear Lord, thank You for this evening of peace and quiet; for this time to be still and reflect on my life. Thank You for my health and my home, for my family and my…

I Don’t Know What’s More Terrifying….

  • September 14, 2007May 6, 2019

…the idea that I could easily have driven next to such a beautiful sunrise for thirty minutes and never even noticed it; …or the fact that I took this picture with my cell phone while…

Perceptions of Love

  • September 12, 2007May 6, 2019

I’m sitting at home, enjoying a very rare moment of nearly perfect peace and quiet, and thinking about love. It never ceases to amaze me how many forms love can take, how many meanings can…

Regressing, or Progressing?

  • September 7, 2007April 22, 2019

While cruising around MySpace today I took a peek at the featured book, which was Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer. The first thing I noticed was that the “leading man” so to speak was…well…a vampire. Sort…

Just Being Me

  • July 28, 2007May 6, 2019

In a continued effort to ignore the seemingly-endless (though dwindling!) stream of moving boxes, I have spent quite a bit of today lost in my own thoughts and plans. It’s relaxing in a way, and…

Harmonic Convergence of the Third Kind

  • July 3, 2007April 20, 2019

One of my very favorite movies of all time is Amadeus, starring Tom Hulce as Mozart. The movie, as well as the play on which it’s based, shattered common misconceptions about Mozart and painted him…
