What Would YOU Do?

January 26, 2008 By lisa

Now I like a good mystery as much as the next gal, but even I might have been tempted to say "oh well, it's hopeless." Not this guy. Also, I don't often post entire news articles on my blog--usually just the links--but this one was too good not to. Photo clues lead to camera's owner By BRIAN BERGSTEIN, AP Technology Writer Fri Jan 25, 5:46 PM ET At dusk on New Year's Eve, Erika Gunderson got into a taxi in New York City and entered a digital-age mystery. Sitting on the back seat was a nice … [Read more...] about What Would YOU Do?

Joseph

December 24, 2007 By lisa

The gospel for yesterday was Joseph's encounter with an angel of the Lord, after hearing that his betrothed Mary was with child. At that moment, Joseph held the life of Jesus in his hands. I had a similar revelation last year when I remembered the words "Gabriel waited." This time I was asked to consider Joseph's role in the birth of Christ. According to Jewish law, Joseph was betrayed and humiliated, and had it in his power to have Mary stoned to death. No Mary, no child, no Savior. But … [Read more...] about Joseph

More To Ponder

December 5, 2007 By lisa

This evening has given me yet a few more opportunities for reflection, mostly on myself and the attitudes I have that I am seeking to change. Fortunately, this evening's opportunities were largely positive, for which I am exceedingly grateful. I was on MySpace earlier filling out a survey (yes, another!!) about Christmas. The last question was about what bothers me about this time of year. My friend Gabi had mentioned commercialism, which is definitely a serious bother of mine, especially … [Read more...] about More To Ponder

I Need A Vacation!

November 7, 2007 By lisa

So I took the morning off today. My kindergartner had his first official music program at school--a very cute Thanksgiving program. Yep, I had to be there! He's such a ham. Luckily for me, the program ended at a reasonable time, giving me some much needed "alone time". Of course I ended up at Barnes & Noble, where else would I go? I grabbed a Pumpkin Spice Latte and started wandering. Went to listen to samples of Josh Groban's Christmas CD (ick, sorry, it was not at all what I … [Read more...] about I Need A Vacation!

This Is Crazy!

October 28, 2007 By lisa

I can't remember how I found this video. When I surf the internet, I just sort of meander from site to site in a pseudo-neurotic daze and if I find something good, I bookmark it so I can find it again later. (This would explain why I have over 300 bookmarks.) I haven't decided if I can categorize this as "good" per se, but in honor of Halloween, I am sharing it with you. I give you... Michael Jackson's "Thriller"... done with Legos. Trust me, you'll want to watch this.... [youtube … [Read more...] about This Is Crazy!
